Overview
Recruitment for a part-time Lecturer - Maths at Barking & Dagenham College, Rush Green Campus. Salary £25,494 - £44,526 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting, pro-rated to 25.2 hours per week. Location: Rush Green, Romford [Greater London].
Contract type: Permanent; Hours: Part Time (25.2 hours per week).
Responsibilities
- Plan and develop lessons, including schemes of work.
- Develop and implement learner-centred assessment methods with constructive and developmental feedback.
- Monitor and report on attendance, progress and achievements of students.
- Ensure safe working environments, enforce health and safety standards, and ensure students understand and comply.
- Undertake personal coaching and pastoral responsibilities for designated students to support development and progression.
- Stay informed about industry developments to maintain relevance and employability of students.
- Participate in continuing professional development within the education sector.
Qualifications and experience
- Hold a teaching qualification with experience in the Further or Higher Education sectors.
- OR have a Level 3 qualification in the subject and be prepared to undertake a Further Education teaching qualification with College support (Passport to Teaching programme).
- Strong administrative skills to track attendance, progress and achievements.
