Hours: 17.5 Hours per week
Salary: £33,351.00 - £47,397.00 FTE
Employer Pension Contribution: 28.68% (£9,565.06 - £13,593.45 FTE)

The Trafford and Stockport College Group (TSCG) is seeking an experienced Maths tutor contributing to our vision of unlocking potential and fostering success.
This role is a pivotal position within the ESOL, lifelong learning & Skills Development team, reporting directly to The Adult and Community Leader. It offers an excellent opportunity to develop and refine your professional/leadership skills and excellent subject knowledge of functional skills from Entry 1 to Level 1. Experience of teaching Maths GCSE or willingness to work towards this is required.
If you are a dedicated and adaptable maths tutor with a strong track record delivering functional skills maths and helping students to build confidence as well as achieve their academic goals, we want to hear from you. We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of the maths functional skills and maths GCSE curriculum, and a student-focused approach, who can create engaging, structured lessons tailored to individual needs. Your goal will be to make maths clear, accessible, and enjoyable, while equipping students with problem-solving skills for exams and beyond.
You should be organized and reliable, able to maintain clear progress records and provide constructive feedback to ensure continuous improvement. A passion for education and a commitment to staying up to date with the latest teaching methods and resources are essential to deliver the best possible support for every learner.
All employees, including senior managers, will normally be appointed to the minimum point of the pay grade for the job. In certain cases, it may be appropriate to appoint to a higher point in the pay grade at the discretion of the Director of HR & Performance due to the candidate’s current salary, experience or qualifications.
