A UK based educational institution is seeking an individual to teach Carpentry and Joinery across different levels. The role involves preparing materials, assessing students, and ensuring a safe learning environment. Candidates must possess a qualification in Construction and a teacher training qualification or a willingness to obtain one. Strong administrative and IT skills are essential. The position also includes safeguarding responsibilities and adherence to health regulations. In order to comply with our mandatory pre-employment checks, the successful candidate will be required to provide original identification documents in person to our UK based People Services Department.
Any offers of appointment will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (formerly CRB), a certificate of good conduct if applicable, plus receipt of satisfactory references, Occupational Health clearance, an understanding of safeguarding and qualifications verification. An Enhanced DBS check is required for this position as you will be working within 'Regulated Activity' within a specific place (i.e. the College).
This role is classed as working within Regulated Activity. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children. By applying for this position, you agree to an Enhanced DBS check in line with DBS regulations.

To deliver theory elements in Carpentry and Joinery to level 1, level 2 and level 3 full time and apprentices within the construction department.
The post holders will ensure the provision is learner focused, ensures academic excellence, high quality learning and an outstanding student experience which reflects the principles of the personalised curriculum and contributes to the achievement of the College’s strategic and development plans.
In order to support during busy exam periods, you may be asked to undertake exam invigilator duties. The College will provide training.
