The School of Earth and Oceans is home to globally recognised educators and researchers advancing both fundamental and applied science in Earth and Ocean Sciences and Ocean Engineering. With Western Australia’s rich mineral, energy, groundwater, and coastal resources, the School leads research in scientific discovery, engineering innovation, and sustainable resource management. Key strengths include Archean–Proterozoic geology, mineral exploration, hydrogeology, geodata analytics, basin analysis, coastal processes, physical oceanography, offshore renewable engineering, and Antarctic geoscience.
