Lecturer – Higher Education
Leeds | Full Time, Temporary Contract
Pay rate: £20.96 – £30.55 per hour (depending on experience)

I am recruiting on behalf of a leading Leeds based university for an experienced Lecturer to join their academic team on a full time temporary basis. This position will involve delivering high quality teaching, supporting students with their academic development and contributing to the ongoing delivery of modules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lectures, seminars and academic sessions to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students
  • Develop teaching materials and learning resources in line with curriculum requirements
  • Mark coursework and exams, providing constructive written and verbal feedback
  • Support student progress through academic guidance, tutorials and supervision
  • Contribute to departmental meetings, assessment boards and quality assurance activity
Requirements
  • Previous lecturing or teaching experience within a UK higher education setting
  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject area, preferably with a postgraduate or professional qualification
  • Strong knowledge of academic frameworks, assessment practices and student engagement strategies
  • Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to the wider academic team
