We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Wealstun, working as a Learning Support Worker. This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.

Site Information

HMP Wealstun is located near Wetherby in West Yorkshire. Managed by His Majesty's Prison and Probation Service, the prison operates as a Category C facility, accommodating individuals who have been convicted of various offenses requiring secure custody and rehabilitation. The prison's aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisons feel safe and secure at all times. The prison's aim is to provide a secure and rehabilitative environment that encourages positive change and prepares inmates for a successful reintegration into society.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Hidden Difficulties Level 2 or equivalent (or be willing to work towards within an agreed timeframe)
