What we're looking for:

  • At least 6 months of experience working with adults or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly autism.

  • A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle, as the role may involve transporting individuals or supporting off-site activities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support the development and well-being of autistic adults.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide direct support to adults in various learning environments, including vocational training, life skills development, and community integration.

  • Assist in creating an engaging and inclusive learning and living environment.

  • Help to manage and de-escalate challenging situations with a calm and consistent approach.

  • Contribute to the individual progress and well-being of the adults we support.

  • Work collaboratively with staff, families, and external professionals.
