Learning Support Assistant (Teaching Assistant)

Pay: £90–£110 per day
Start Date: ASAP / January 2026 (negotiable)

You’ll support students across the secondary phase, helping them access learning, develop confidence and overcome barriers to success. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a caring, flexible environment and wants to make a real difference each day.

About the Role

Join a vibrant 11–19 academy with a warm Christian ethos and inclusive culture that champions each child’s development. Pupils are encouraged to “let their light shine”, supported by caring staff and a curriculum rich in opportunity — from vocational pursuits to academic ambition and community engagement. The school serves a wide catchment including Ashington, Newbiggin-by-the-Sea and Lynemouth.

Located just a short walk from local bus routes on Academy Road, it’s easy to reach from Ashington town centre. Local buses run frequently from nearby stations and the Metro network at Northumberland Park is also accessible with a short connection.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
