Overview

Learning Support Assistant (SEN) – Primary School, Brighton area. Full-time (term time only).

Role
  • Providing tailored support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Working 1:1 and with small groups to support learning, communication, and emotional regulation
  • Supporting pupils to access the curriculum and develop independence
  • Working closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals
  • Creating a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment
Ideal Candidate
  • Previous SEN experience is essential
  • Experience supporting needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language (desirable)
  • Patient, flexible, and empathetic, with a child-centred approach
  • Confident working as part of a supportive team
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
