An educational institution in Long Lee is looking for a Learning Support Assistant. The role involves supporting students with additional needs and helping them succeed academically. This is a Part-Time, Reduced Year role: 19 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
Keighley College are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their team. You will be based predominantly at one of our campuses but could be required to work across sites depending on the students' needs. All of our sites are within a short traveling distance from the city centre.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be instrumental in supporting and encouraging our students to succeed. We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, independent, supportive, and understanding and who is willing to learn and cooperate to meet the students\' needs.
Our Learning Support Assistants are an essential part of our SEND Provision. You will be working within a supportive team of around 70 professionals across the College who all have a passion for ensuring our students can achieve – no matter their background or ability. This role is perfect for anyone wanting to gain an entry-level insight into working with students who have additional high-level or SEND needs, those wanting to transition into teaching and who also want to progress through the SEND Pathway. You will have the opportunity to progress internally from this role either into our Teaching Apprenticeships, Specialist Learning Support Assistant Roles or work towards becoming a SEND Team Leader.
