Overview

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Rustington area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by supporting pupils with their learning and development in an inclusive and engaging environment.

Role Overview

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils’ learning and development, providing one-to-one and small group assistance to help them access the curriculum.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing the classroom.
  • Encourage pupil engagement, independence, and positive learning behaviours.
  • Support pupils with additional needs to access the curriculum.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning space.
Requirements
  • Previous experience supporting children in a school or similar setting.
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps in employment.
