Job summary

An educational staffing agency seeks Learning Support Assistants in Hawkinge to support young individuals with additional needs such as ASD and ADHD. Learning Support Assistant

Location: Folkestone
Hours: 35 hours per week (8:30am-4:00pm, 30‑min lunch)

We are recruiting for two Learning Support Assistants to support young people with a complex range of needs, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH.

You’ll work closely with the class tutor, offering in‑class support, 1:1 assistance where required, and helping students to develop academic, social and behavioural skills. Minimal personal care could be required, though no manual handling will be needed.

We welcome applications from candidates with:

  • Experience in a similar educational or care setting
  • Experience supporting young people with additional needs
  • A background in care (even without education sector experience)

  • Reliability, patience, and strong communication skills
Working Pattern
  • Standard hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm
  • Alternative pattern (9:00am - 3:30pm) may be considered for the right candidate
  • 30‑minute unpaid lunch break
  • 35 hours per week
