Job description
Learning Support Assistant

Windsor Forest Colleges group is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join our Foundation Department at Slough and Langley College on a part‑time, term‑time basis.

Role Details

This part‑time Learning Support Assistant role involves working 22.5 hours per week on a 37‑week, Term Time Only basis. The working days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 08:30 to 17:00.

Payment: pays on scale G of the Support Staff pay scale between G16 £12,171.78 and G19 £13,528.46 (Full Time Equivalent G16 £24,098 to G19 £26,784).

Reporting to the Head of Department, the role involves working under the direction of educational staff to support teaching, learning and related activities.

Responsibilities
  • Enabling students across various college campuses to access the curriculum fully.
  • Assisting students in achieving their learning goals.
  • Planning and evaluating learning activities.
  • Supporting individuals and groups.
  • Maintaining confidential records.
  • Collaborating with pastoral staff to help students learning challenges.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Positive outlook and ability to develop rapport with students and staff.
  • Flexibility to work across different curriculum departments.
  • Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
  • Experience in educational or support environments, particularly supporting individuals with learning difficulties such as Autism and Dyslexia.
  • Strong organisational skills and commitment to student development and personal growth.
