Job summary

A progressive educational institution in Brighton is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting pupils, including those with additional needs, within a warm and welcoming team. The role requires enthusiasm, flexibility, and the ability to work both independently and in collaboration with others. Additional training will be provided as needed to enhance support for individual students. This is a 32.5 hours per week position with a competitive salary range.

Role: Learning Support Assistant

Job Details
  • Hours: 32.5 hours per week
  • Working Weeks: 39 (term-time plus inset days)
  • Hours: Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 08.00 until 15.00, Wednesdays 09.00 until 16.00
  • Salary: Actual Salary Range (£19265.02-£19570pa)
  • Closing Date: 05/01/2026 at 12pm Midday
  • Interviews: 14/01/2026
Position Overview

We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to join us for 15 hours per week. The successful candidate will be committed to supporting all pupils including those with additional needs. In this role, you would be working within a fantastic, supportive and welcoming team. Applicants will need to be enthusiastic, positive and able to work on your own initiative as well as follow direction.

Responsibilities

Supporting all pupils, including those with additional needs, within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications
  • High standard of written and spoken English
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Strong work ethic with flexibility to respond positively to challenges of day to day school life
  • Calm and motivated attitude with a clear understanding of the needs of all children including those with additional needs
  • Good sense of humour
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willing to undertake training and support individual needs
  • Previous experience of working within an LSA role or similar
