A regional healthcare service in Kilmarnock is seeking a Learning and Development Adviser to design and deliver training focused on neurodevelopmental differences. Applicants should have a degree and experience in a training environment. The role requires excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. This is a fixed term position for 2 years, working 37 hours per week with some flexibility required. Travel across East Ayrshire is expected, and candidates must demonstrate a right to work in the UK.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Learning and Development Adviser (Neurodevelopmental) within our Neurodevelopmental Empowerment and Strategy Team based at CentreStage Kilmarnock.
From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.
37 hrs per week. Mainly office hours however some flexibility will be required.
This post is offered on a fixed term basis for 2 years.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Learning & Development Adviser with experience in neurodevelopmental differences to design, coordinate and deliver training and development for children and family services across East Ayrshire Health and Social Care partnership and their partners. Working collaboratively with neurodivergent individuals, families/carers, professionals, clinicians, and staff across children’s services, the post holder will help upskill and develop the workforce in their knowledge and understanding of neurodivergence and how best support our neurodivergent children and their families/carers.
The candidate must be educated to Degree level or have equivalent knowledge and experience. They must be able to demonstrate experience and success in working in a complex training environment where design and delivery of learning programmes and interventions is key to the role. Proficient user of IT equipment and relevant software applications is essential as well as excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. The candidate should have demonstrable knowledge or experience in relation to neurodevelopmental differences.
Considerable travel will be anticipated across East Ayrshire. Full driving licence and access to vehicle preferrable, however non driving candidates will be considered.
