Lean Manufacturing Manager

Our prestigious manufacturing client based in Wroxham within the Marine and Luxury Yacht industry is currently seeking a Lean Manufacturing Manager with Green or Black Belt certification to lead continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operations. This role is critical to driving operational excellence by making manufacturing processes leaner, smoother, faster, and more cost‑efficient while ensuring sustainable change and high performance.

This role is critical to driving operational excellence by making manufacturing processes leaner, smoother, faster, and more cost‑efficient while ensuring sustainable change and high performance.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste, improve workflow, and enhance overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Apply Value Stream Mapping, Ishikawa (fishbone) analysis, and Kaizen methodologies to drive process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to drive performance, cost savings, and quality improvement. Develop, implement, and standardise manufacturing policies, tools, and procedures.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to build a continuous improvement culture and gain alignment on improvement initiatives.
  • Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to employees on Lean principles and methodologies.
  • Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects from concept to completion.
  • Report progress and improvement results to leadership.
  • Ensure long‑term sustainability of improvements through effective change management and process control systems.
  • Serve as a champion for communication, alignment, and transparency throughout the organization.
Qualifications
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification required.
  • Applied Value Stream Mapping, Ishikawa (fishbone) analysis, and Kaizen methodologies to drive process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Proven experience in a lean manufacturing leadership role.
  • Experience within an engineering environment (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Lean methodologies, Six Sigma tools, and continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success in leading process improvement initiatives and delivering measurable results.
  • Exceptional communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence and drive change across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
