A leading energy company in the UK is seeking a Lead Transmission Network Engineer to support high voltage transformers. We're looking for a protection and control engineer who has a background in developing products and solutions to support variable scale high priority projects and respond to faults to ensure the Transmission System remains resilient across England and Wales.
As the Lead Transmission Network Engineer, you will lead the design, delivery, and recovery process for light current solutions, including fault response and incident investigations. You will ensure that, within the area of engineering expertise, the business has optimal scope definition and solutions for each individual project or incident investigation. Additionally, you will ensure that the highest standards of Safety, Quality, Sustainability, Environmental considerations, and Resilience are applied in the process of maintaining high power system reliability.
Your contributions will also be vital in assisting with the annual Asset Health Review, ensuring the reliability and performance of our critical infrastructure. This role requires national travel across England and Wales.
This role is based out of one of our National Grid offices, and we'd hope to see you at least two days per week but you're welcome to be in the office more often if that would work best for you. We're happy to discuss any additional flexibility in working patterns or requirements that you feel could help to make this job work for you!
