Under the direction of the pharmacy senior management team for Community Services and Mental Health Hospitals, the post holder will support and lead in the management, training, and development of medicines optimisation technicians in delivering ward-based services. The post holder will also participate in core ward-based activities including medication reconciliation, medication counselling and supply of medications at ward level to expedite patient discharge. The post holder will be working with a team of pharmacists, medical and nursing staff to deliver ward-based pharmacy technical services to all wards. Under the direction of a pharmacist, they will be responsible for leading and expanding ward-based pharmacy technical services including ward-based dispensing. This includes providing systems for training technicians and assistants to deliver this service.
