A National Health Service provider is seeking a Lead Specialist Practitioner to join their Community Nursing Team in Burton on Trent. The role involves providing strong clinical leadership, supporting effective care for service users, and developing the role further within the Community Nursing Service Delivery Model. Ideal candidates will be NMC Registered Adult Nurses with a Specialist Practitioner Qualification. This is a full-time position with part-time requests considered, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on local communities.
We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our Community Nursing Team as a Lead Specialist Practitioner based in Burton on Trent.
We are looking for a highly skilled clinician who is a NMC Registered Adult Nurse and holds the Specialist Practitioner Qualification (SPQ) and is willing to work within the Community Nursing Service Delivery Model to develop the role further.
You will provide strong clinical leadership and support safe and effective care for service users and will work closely with the Operational Team and other senior nurses in the team to share responsibility for organising the day-to-day running of the caseload, managing emerging risks, supporting effective reporting and governance and agreeing service transformation priorities.
They will provide enhanced holistic nursing care to housebound service users utilising enhanced assessment skills; decision making; prescribing and freedom to act as a Specialist Practitioner.
You will need to be highly motivated and enthusiastic, have excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills and an ability to challenge practice as needed as well as providing support staff development in the service by providing mentorship and supervision to pre and post registered nurses.
This is a full-time post, but we will also consider requests for part time.
