Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working with 1 day in every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

About the role:

This is a hands-on role working within the Software Engineering team. You will run the SRE function daily, collaborating with the Head of Engineering and cross-functional teams to develop solutions and enhance user experiences.

You will review and lead our strategy for the maturity, security, performance, and scalability of our software and services across cloud infrastructure. You will have significant autonomy to shape the team's future using your extensive skills in:

  • Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, Platform management
  • Developing and deploying APIs using containerized environments like Kubernetes
  • Implementing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically Terraform
  • Collaborating with stakeholders in an agile environment
  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
  • Working with AWS services such as IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
  • Using CloudFormation and CDK
  • Experience with serverless computing
