Location:

Remote working with 1 day every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

Our site reliability engineers (SREs) ensure high availability, stellar performance, and rich features for our users.

Role Overview

This is a hands-on role within the Software Engineering team. You will manage the SRE function daily, working closely with the Head of Engineering, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and enhance user experience.

The successful candidate will lead and shape our strategy for software security, performance, and scalability across cloud infrastructure, with considerable autonomy to influence the team's future direction. Key skills include:

  • Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps/Infrastructure/Platform Management
  • API development and deployment using containerized environments like Kubernetes
  • Implementing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform
  • Collaborating in an agile environment with business stakeholders
  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
  • Experience with AWS services such as IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
  • Using CloudFormation or CDK
  • Working with serverless computing
