Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working with 1 day in every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

Our site reliability engineers (SREs) empower users with high availability, stellar performance, and feature-rich solutions.

About the role:

This hands-on role involves working within the Software Engineering team to manage the SRE function daily, collaborating with the Head of Engineering and cross-functional teams to develop solutions and enhance user experiences.

The successful candidate will lead and shape our strategy for software security, performance, and scalability across cloud infrastructure, with a high degree of autonomy. Key skills include:

  1. Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Platform management
  2. API development and deployment in containerized environments like Kubernetes
  3. Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
  4. Collaborating in an agile environment with business stakeholders
  5. Leading and mentoring team members
  6. Experience with AWS services such as IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
  7. Using CloudFormation and CDK
  8. Experience with serverless computing
