A financial services company in London is seeking an exceptional project manager for a fixed-term contract role. The successful candidate will manage critical change projects to support strategic objectives and ensure on-time delivery within budget. This position requires a leader with substantial experience in project/program management, particularly one that oversees significant transformations. The role is part of an exciting initiative to build a new cloud-based technology stack to enhance service delivery for clients.

Enterprise Technology will be replacing a complex, largely on premise technology stack with a clean new SaaS landscape for Finance, Risk, HR and Functions IT. We require an exceptional project manager to help coordinate and govern that delivery. The successful candidate must be hands on, deep in the detail, actively identifying and resolving issues and deputising for the Enterprise Technology Lead.
This is an 18 month Fixed Term Contract role to drive the build out of the new stack. During this time we will be defining the go forward model for Enterprise Technology and anticipate a variety of permanent roles will become available.
Barclays' payments acceptance business provides critical infrastructure to the UK economy, processing billions of pounds of payments annually for both small businesses and domestic and international corporate clients. In April 2025, we announced a long‑term partnership with Brookfield Asset Management to grow and transform the payments acceptance business by broadening the range of services offered, enhancing the experience for both existing and prospective clients.
To manage change projects that help the organisation achieve its strategic objectives, while ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, in control and in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
