Overview

Lead Network Engineer required by my leading client. Due to a major increase in workload my client is in need of an experienced Senior/Lead Network Engineer to join the team. They are currently seeking an experienced hands on and original thinking Lead Network Engineer to play a crucial role supporting the core infrastructure as well as the branch network. You will work closely with the architecture team to collaboratively translate high and low level designs into secure deployable configurations and workable solutions. You\'ll also be contributing significantly to the Group IT strategy.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions that enhance operational efficiency and future network capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership, define best practices, and act as a subject matter expert in network automation.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience in a support role within a fast-moving environment.
• Exposure to enterprise technology solutions and knowledge of large-scale infrastructure transformation and migration activities.
• CCNP and NSE4 certification required.
• Extensive experience in LAN/WAN switching and routing, Network Security, and in-depth knowledge of Fortinet, Meraki, and Cisco product sets and management platforms (advantageous).

Cloud and Security

• Cloud-first approach: demonstrated abilities in operating a cloud network infrastructure, including complex troubleshooting, low-level design, secure operation, and updating of the cloud environment with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI pipelines, and version control.
• Extensive experience using AWS Cloud.
• Detailed knowledge of mitigating a wide range of cyber threats.
