Role: Mechanical Piping Designer

Location: Thornton-Cleveleys

Workscope

Addison Project plc are currently seeking a contractor to provide Lead Mechanical Piping Design services. This will be based in Thornton-Cleveleys for a period of 12 months.

Responsibilities
  • Producing high-quality mechanical and piping design deliverables, working closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure successful project execution.
  • Site surveys, client meetings and inspections
  • Create and update mechanical and piping drawings using Autodesk software (Plant 3D)
  • Interpret engineering specifications and client requirements to produce accurate design documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordinated and clash-free designs.
  • Assist in the preparation of bills of materials and technical documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into design updates.
  • Support construction and commissioning teams with design-related queries
  • Work to relevant industry standards and procedures
Experience Required
  • A qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Suitable, relevant and demonstrable Lead Mechanical Piping Design experience
  • UK Onshore experience in mechanical and piping design within sectors such as petrochemical, chemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, or food & beverage.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk design tools, particularly Plant 3D.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
