Job summary

A leading engineering business in the UK is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to oversee all mechanical and piping engineering activities. The successful candidate will provide technical direction, lead a team and ensure compliance with standards while managing complex projects in the onshore energy sector, including petrochemical and renewable energy fields. Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, Chartered Engineer status desirable.
• Extensive experience within the onshore energy sector, including petrochemical, waste-to-energy or renewables.
• Proven ability to develop concepts through to detailed design review and execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all mechanical and piping engineering activities in line with QA systems.
• Provide technical direction, consultancy and decision-making across concept and design phases.
• Supervise, mentor and allocate work to mechanical and piping engineers, supporting staff development.
