Overview

We are currently working with a leader in Pressure Systems within the defence industry who are looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join them due to a mix of increase in projects and future development of the business.

This role is a technically focused position within a dynamic engineering department, delivering design, development, and project management functions. The successful candidate will ensure engineering activities align with ISO standards and client expectations. A focus on innovation, system optimisation, and continuous improvement underpins this varied and rewarding engineering opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and optimise mechanical systems and components, including valves and flow equipment.
  • Lead or support prototype development, testing, and validation processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure delivery of technical solutions.
  • Conduct research and implement improvements in manufacturability, performance, and standardisation.
  • Provide technical support to customers, addressing enquiries and delivering effective solutions.
