This role will focus on strengthening financial insight, forecasting, and forward planning while embedding effective collaboration with senior stakeholders. You will lead and support a team of finance professionals, ensuring high-quality outputs and helping the team evolve their ways of working in line with the organisation’s future direction.
The team includes long-standing, experienced individuals who are accustomed to working in established ways. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, guidance, and development capability — creating a cohesive, high-performing unit while remaining comfortable working hands‑on with financial detail.

Key Accountabilities
  • Manage and deliver all assigned financial activities to agreed time, cost, and quality standards
  • Develop and deliver the functional finance strategy and drive delivery of objectives
  • Provide strong leadership, line management, and task management in line with organisational policies and processes
  • Guide, coach, and develop team members to drive performance and capability
  • Ensure robust internal financial controls and governance frameworks are in place and adhered to
  • Drive identification and implementation of process improvements and innovation initiatives
  • Support the development and maintenance of finance policies and procedures
  • Escalate financial issues appropriately to Project and Programme leadership
  • Operate as a mid-level leader, role‑modelling high standards of professionalism and collaboration
  • Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the timely provision of accurate, high-quality financial information
  • Ensure appropriate analysis and interpretation of financial data is produced by the team
  • Establish, monitor, and report on compliance with financial processes and controls
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information
  • Lead forecasting and forward-planning activities

  • Lead the training and development of Finance Managers and Finance Analysts
  • Coordinate and plan team deliverables to meet business requirements
  • Review and assure the quality of work produced by a team of three direct reports
  • Lead by example to foster a positive, high-performing team culture
About You

You will be an experienced finance professional with strong business partnering experience and proven people‑leadership capability.
