VIQU have partnered with a leading UK systems integrator in the energy sector seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer for Protection & Control. You'll play a key role in delivering complex Protection & Control solutions across Transmission and Distribution projects, ensuring compliance, quality, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical design and delivery of Protection & Control systems.
  • Develop SLDs, KLDs, architecture diagrams, and concept designs.
  • Conduct site surveys and provide technical input for tenders.
  • Produce and review schematics, layouts, calculations, and schedules.
  • Chair design workshops and interface with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to required standards.
Key Requirements
  • Strong background in Protection & Control within Transmission & Distribution.
  • Knowledge of key technologies and vendors.
  • Hands-on experience with IEC61850 and related field implementation.
  • Understanding of communications, substation protocols, and Cyber Security requirements.
  • Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel when needed.
