A leading energy company seeks a Lead Credit Risk Analyst in Walton On The Hill to drive analytics for their SME portfolio worth £1bn. This role involves managing Credit Exposure models, preparing performance reports, and collaborating with sales and collections teams. Candidates must have extensive experience in SQL, proficiency in data visualisation, and a background in Credit Risk or Collections. The Lead Credit Risk Analyst is a key role in the continued development of analytical insights driving the credit risk strategy of our SME portfolio and performance reporting on the whole portfolio of c.£1bn of revenue across a portfolio of c.90,000 sites. The role works closely with our Sales, Collections and Commercial teams to balance credit risks alongside achieving the group’s revenue and bad debt targets. With responsibility for the management of Credit Exposure models, responding to regulatory RFIs, delivery of Credit Performance reports and the creation of datasets to provide insights to senior management. The role is key to the design of UK Credit Policy to cover all customer credit risk decisions
You'll need extensive experience of SQL for querying and analysing large datasets; experience with Python or R is a plus.
Advanced Excel skills, including expertise in complex formulas, pivot tables and data analysis tools.
Experience in assessing operational strategy & portfolio performances against KPIs.
Proficiency with data visualisation, including experience in creating dashboards for use at a senior management level
Experience within a Credit Risk and/or Collections environment.
Knowledge of UK Bureau data.
