Job summary

A specialist talent acquisition consultancy is seeking a Lead Cloud Data Engineer with a robust background in AWS cloud services, real-time data streaming, and team leadership. Responsibilities

Skills

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in platform engineering, streaming services, data platforms and AWS cloud technology, leading teams and directing engineering workloads.

Skills required:

• Experience with Real Time (or near Real Time) streaming systems
• Experience leading a team of data engineers, with the ability to coach others, organise and run code reviews
• Experience in AWS cloud services, particularly Lambda, S3, and EKS, API Gateway
• Strong experience with Python
• Strong experience in Kafka
• Strong experience of GitHub actions, Terraform
• Excellent understanding of data streaming architectures and best practices
