Job description
Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist – Reproductive Medicine and Hysteroscopy/Myosure

We are recruiting a Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Gynaecology division at the Rosie Hospital. The role is a secondment/fixed‑term post supporting the Benign Gynaecology department with outpatient ambulatory diagnostic hysteroscopy/myosure clinics and nurse‑led reproductive medicine consultation clinics covering menstrual dysfunction, vaginal dilation and coil clinics.

This is a Monday to Friday role – 37.5 hours a week.

If you are not already qualified to undertake hysteroscopy and myosure, your application will be considered for a Band 7 role focusing on diagnostic hysteroscopy (if already trained) and reproductive medicine consultation clinics. You will receive training in diagnostic hysteroscopy and myosure in an outpatient ambulatory setting.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical skills to support the Benign Gynaecology department, facilitating outpatient diagnostic hysteroscopy/myosure clinics and nurse‑led reproductive medicine consultations (menstrual dysfunction, vaginal dilation, coil clinics).
  • Perform diagnostic hysteroscopy and myosure procedures (after training) and lead reproductive medicine consultation clinics.
  • Employ venepuncture, cannulation, drug administration and communication skills to deliver high‑quality care.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide evidence‑based care across Reproductive Medicine.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Qualifications required to undertake hysteroscopy and myosure (or willingness to undergo training).
  • Experience in outpatient gynaecology nursing, reproductive medicine or related diagnostic procedures.
  • Strong communication, organisational and administrative skills.
  • Proficiency in venepuncture, cannulation, and drug administration.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
