Functioning as a technical specialist and / or in a lead role you will be developing and applying advanced engineering techniques, concepts and approaches.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide guidance and direction on department design guides, standards, systems and applicable engineering codes and standards.
• Preparing calculations and develop civil engineering deliverables (models, drawings and reports) whilst adhering to project budgets, schedules and quality systems.
• Providing guidance to others and support continuous improvement
• Coordinate with internal and external team members on complex projects
• Prepare a variety of complex civil engineering deliverables for large or multiple projects.
• Develop recommendations for materials and construction techniques.
• Develop specifications for the identification, collection and management of data for engineering work.
• Serve as a technical specialist and use knowledge and skill set to provide advice and guidance to project teams.
• Mentor and develop junior staff
• Be fully conversant and comply with all aspects of health & safety duties of Designers

Person Specification :

• Civil Engineering Design and / or Hydraulics / Structural background
• Experience in design and build
• Knowledge & Experience in the design and checking of non-infrastructure water / wastewater treatment works design
• Ability to lead and manage a team of civil engineers and associated specialists (structural, geotechnical and hydraulics) and to interface with other disciplines in the production of engineering deliverables
