GMMH Inpatient Services have an exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced and passionate clinical leader to support the Head of Operations and Head of Quality and Nursing in developing, leading and implementing the Inpatient Complex Emotional & Relational Needs pathway. The post holder will provide specialised, expert advice, education and strong leadership in order to improve the patient experience. We are looking for an experienced practitioner who is ready to progress in their leadership journey. You will demonstrate expert clinical judgement and critical decision-making skills based upon evidence-based practice and work collaboratively with the wider inpatient leadership team. You will be a highly skilled, innovative and passionate individual who will lead on service quality, as well some line management of senior practitioners delivering ward based interventions. This is an exciting time to join the Inpatient Services at a time of exciting transformation.

The Practitioner will provide managerial and professional leadership for the CERN Senior Clinical Practitioner team within Inpatient Services, this will include training and delivery of an educational programme across all areas.

Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) Foundation Trust employs over 7000 members of staff, who deliver services from more than 122 locations. We provide inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bolton, the city of Manchester, Salford, Trafford and the borough of Wigan, and a wide range of specialist mental health and substance misuse services across Greater Manchester, the north west of England and beyond.

Responsibilities
  • Provide managerial and professional leadership for the CERN Senior Clinical Practitioner team within Inpatient Services, including training and delivery of an educational programme across all areas.
  • Lead on the Inpatient Complex Emotional & Relational Needs pathway development, implementation and ongoing improvement.
  • Provide specialised, expert advice, education and strong leadership to improve the patient experience.
  • Demonstrate expert clinical judgement and critical decision-making based on evidence-based practice.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider inpatient leadership team and contribute to service quality improvements.
  • Line manage senior practitioners delivering ward-based interventions.
