Lead AV Engineer

£30,000 - £34,500 + bonus

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Lead AV Engineer to oversee the installation of audio-visual solutions for commercial and public sector clients across the Midlands. This role requires a proactive leader with excellent technical knowledge and strong communication skills to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage teams of contractors on site, ensuring efficient and safe work practises.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact on site for all client queries and concerns.
  • Maintain clear and regular communication with the operations team regarding progress and any issues encountered on site.
  • Assemble AV racks, ensuring all cabling is labelled clearly and installed tidily.
  • Carry out first and second fix installations of sound systems, video equipment, and AV control systems.
  • Conduct comprehensive site surveys to assess requirements and plan installations.
  • Perform pre-commissioning tasks including firmware updates and preparation of equipment for final commissioning stages.
  • Be willing to work away from home when required.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • At least one year s experience installing AV systems within a commercial or public sector environment.
  • Experience with systems such as Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Poly, and Cisco is highly desirable.
  • Flexibility to work evenings where necessary.
  • A clean criminal record with the ability to pass an advanced DBS check.
  • Full UK driving licence.
Package
  • Salary: £30,000 - £34,500 DOE
  • Overtime rates up to 2x standard pay
