A leading grounds maintenance provider is seeking Landscape Operatives (Tractor Drivers) in Bridgwater and surrounding areas. Candidates must have experience driving agricultural vehicles and performing grounds maintenance tasks. The role offers a salary between £27,000 - £31,000, a permanent contract, and full PPE. Location: Bridgwater & surrounding region covering the M5 corridor
Salary: £27,000 - £31,000 Dependent on experience (hourly pay of £13-15 plus Overtime opportunities)
Contract type: Permanent
Working hours: Mon - Fri 40 hours.
Days & Nights dependent on rota.
About the role: We are looking for skilled & enthusiastic GM & Landscape Operatives in the Somerset and surrounding regions to carry out important Highways work.
You will need to have experience and be confident and qualified to drive agricultural vehicles.
You will be responsible for hedge cutting and verge trimming on main roads across the region to maintain and transform outdoor spaces.
Working as part of a team under the supervision of a Team Leader, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.
Reporting remotely to the Staverton depot, your work will be covering main regional A roads & the M5 (north to Weston Super Mare, south to Exeter and further afield as required).
Open to candidates with experience.
Previous experience as a Tractor Driver in grounds maintenance/ landscape/ agricultural sectors.
Ability to operate and manoeuvre mechanised hedge / verge cutter machinery & other equipment.
General Grounds Maintenance machine work e.g. robot & ride on mowers, strimmers etc. beneficial.
Digging tickets beneficial.
Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Can-do attitude and safety-conscious mindset.
A full valid UK driving licence is essential (category B) is preferred (covering categories F (agricultural tractors) & K (mowing machines or pedestrian controlled vehicles)). CSCS card is preferred but can be obtained prior to start if able to pass certification successfully (& subject to signing a training agreement).
