Job summary

A leading education provider in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled trainer to educate the next generation of Land Based Engineers. This role involves training and assessing apprentices while ensuring they gain relevant experience in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical repairs. Ideal candidates will have relevant industry qualifications and experience. A competitive hourly rate is offered, along with the potential for hybrid working arrangements after initial training. Start date is required by January 12th.

Qualifications

  • Industry relevant Level 3 qualification preferred, with teaching or assessor qualifications desirable.
  • Experience in Land Based Engineering Sector is required.
  • Strong understanding of systems in hydraulic, electrical, transmission, and mechanical repairs is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Train and assess the apprentices in Land Based Engineering.
  • Conduct workplace assessments and reviews of apprentices.
  • Deliver teaching sessions to first-year apprenticeship groups.

We are recruiting for a client who is looking for someone to come in and train up their apprentices who are looking to become the next J.B. Davidson of the industry!

The required skills/experience are:
  • Industry Relevant Level 3 Qualification (teacher/ trainer/ assessor qualification(s) desirable)
  • Relevant Industry experience within the Land Based Engineering Sector.
  • Needs to have a strong understanding of the knowledge requirements required to be an effective Land Based Engineering Technician. A sound understanding in the Repair and maintenance of Hydraulic, Electrical, Transmission, Mechanical and Trailed Equipment.
  • Needs to be competent in the repair and maintenance of the systems across the breadth of the qualifications. To include the repair and maintenance of Hydraulic, Electrical, Transmission, Mechanical and Trailed Equipment.
  • The workplace assessment and review of a cohort of apprentices. The teaching delivery to the year 1 apprenticeship groups.
  • Need to be available to start by the 12th January
