Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking a qualified EDT Social Worker for the Lambeth Centralised AMHP Service. This temporary role offers £43 per hour for AMHPs with strong decision-making and assessment skills. You will undertake statutory duties under the Mental Health Act and work with multi-agency teams. This position provides the opportunity to gain diverse AMHP experience in a supportive environment. A referral bonus is also available.

Qualifications

About the Role

Lambeth Centralised AMHP Service is seeking highly skilled Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHPs) to join their Daytime Emergency Duty Team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced AMHPs to make a real difference in the lives of adults and children requiring urgent mental health intervention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake statutory AMHP duties under the Mental Health Act (MHA).
  • Conduct assessments and make decisions regarding the detention of individuals under the MHA.
  • Work collaboratively with multi‑agency teams to safeguard and support service users.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in line with professional standards.
Requirements
  • Fully qualified AMHP with current professional social work registration.
  • Current or recent experience as an AMHP is strongly preferred.
  • Confidence in undertaking all statutory AMHP responsibilities.
  • Strong communication, decision‑making, and assessment skills.
