Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Science Technician to join our team at Kings House School, Richmond. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the teaching of science across the school, up to year 6. Working closely with our science staff, the technician will ensure that practical lessons run smoothly by preparing and maintaining equipment, managing resources, and upholding the highest standards of health and safety. This position would ideally suit an experienced technician with a background in laboratory work, preferably within a school environment. However, training may be offered to the right candidate.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain equipment for practical science lessons.
  • Manage resources for science teaching across the school (up to year 6).
  • Uphold high standards of health and safety in the science environment.
  • Work closely with science staff to ensure lessons run smoothly.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Experience as a science technician with a background in laboratory work, preferably within a school environment.
  • Training may be offered to the right candidate.
Salary and Benefits
  • Salary: £11,394 to £28,485 per annum (depending on hours per week).
  • Reporting to: Head of Science.
  • Free school lunches during term time.
  • Contract type: Part-time, permanent, term-time only. The role has potential to be full-time. The minimum hours per week will be 15 and this will be spread over five days.
  • Pension: generous contributions to our Defined Contribution Scheme.
