A leading company in the oilfield services industry is seeking a Laboratory Chemist to join their team on a 12-month maternity cover basis. Based in Aberdeen, this role supports product development and quality control by conducting routine chemical and physical testing. The successful candidate will work within the laboratory environment, supporting technical services for customers operating in the North Sea region.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine chemical and physical analysis for product development, quality control, and technical service.
  • Conduct product selection testing and provide technical support for North Sea-based customers.
  • Compile, analyze, and interpret test data to produce clear technical reports.
  • Provide timely communication of progress and test results to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Support the resolution of technical queries and customer concerns.
  • Maintain high standards of laboratory practice with strong attention to detail.
  • Participate in risk assessments and ensure full compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) procedures.
Requirements

Essential:
