  • Use blocking and glazing machines to cut lenses to the correct shape and fit.
  • Assemble lenses into frames.
  • Tint lenses to provide UV protection and a variety of colours.
  • Quality checking of completed glasses.
  • Ordering frames and lenses.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and equipment maintenance.

Overview

As a Lab Technician in optics, you will use the latest computer-controlled equipment with an eye for detail and accuracy to prepare customer spectacle orders to a high standard. You will be part of a team responsible for preparing lenses and spectacles to meet customer needs, delivering high-quality results and customer satisfaction.
