Overview

Our teachers are fulfilled by the idea of making even the smallest positive changes in our young people. As a Teacher at Witherslack Group, you will work with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs in Castlefell School, a state‑of‑the‑art SEND school that caters primarily for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and also provides for children with autism who have moderate learning needs.

Responsibilities
  • Connect with pupils, fostering their development and self‑esteem.
  • Build strong relationships with each child and collaborate with colleagues, teaching assistants and therapy professionals.
  • Support the teaching and care team to deliver individualised progress plans and consistent learning outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Previous teaching experience and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, especially Autism, SEN, ASD, SEMH, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
