Salary: £90-£105 per day (dependent on experience)

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Classroom Support Assistant to join a supportive and dynamic team in Buckinghamshire, working with students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for helping students with special educational needs (SEN) achieve their potential in a secondary school setting. You will be an integral part of creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, providing tailored support to students with a range of additional needs.
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with special educational needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and complex needs
Assist with the delivery of tailored learning plans, ensuring activities are accessible and engaging for all students
Support students with academic, social, and emotional development, promoting self-confidence and independence
Implement strategies and behaviour management plans as directed by the SENCO and class teacher
Encourage a positive learning environment by applying school behaviour management policies
Assist in the use of specific learning resources, including assistive technology, communication aids, and sensory equipment
Work alongside teaching staff to track student progress and adapt support strategies accordingly
Contribute to the overall development of a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
Experience working with SEN students (formal or informal)
A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach to supporting students
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students in both individual and group settings
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
SEN-related qualifications (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or similar) desirable but not essential
Flexibility to work with students across different needs and abilities
Previous experience in a secondary school setting is advantageous
