Year 6 Class Teacher – February Half Term (or Sooner) to July 2026

We are supporting a forward‑thinking and inclusive primary school in Stockport with the recruitment of a Year 6 Class Teacher to join their experienced team from February Half Term 2026 (or sooner) through to July 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a Year 6 class through the final term of primary school, helping pupils prepare for Key Stage 2 transition and SATs readiness, in a setting that values high expectations, a supportive culture, and strong pupil outcomes.

About the Role

As the Year 6 Class Teacher, you will :

  • Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons across the full KS2 curriculum
  • Lead a motivated class through the spring and summer term, including preparation for end‑of‑key stage assessments
  • Employ engaging, inclusive teaching styles that meet the needs of all learners
  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress in line with school policy
  • Support classroom routines, behaviour expectations, and positive learning culture
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to whole‑school improvement

This role is ideal for a teacher with a solid track record in KS2 classroom management and curriculum delivery, who can hit the ground running and support pupils in achieving strong academic and personal progress.
