Knowledge Lawyer - Financial Services Disputes & Investigations - Bristol - 5+ years PQE
Location: Bristol Office (Hybrid & Flexible)
Type of Role: Full-time or Part-time
Salary: £70,000 to £90,000

Chadwick Nott are happy to be working with a leading national law firm in their search for an experienced Knowledge Lawyer to join their Financial Services Disputes & Investigations team in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the knowledge strategy of a top-tier financial services disputes practice, within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

The Role

This is a strategic, non-fee earning position focused on legal excellence, training, and innovation. Responsibilities include:

  • Creating and maintaining legal precedents and annotated resources
  • Designing and delivering internal training programmes for fee earners and trainees
  • Providing client-facing training, including virtual and in-person sessions across the UK
  • Monitoring legal developments and updating practice materials accordingly
  • Responding to complex legal queries from fee earners
  • Managing and promoting the firm's internal knowledge database
  • Collaborating with the Risk team to identify and mitigate legal risks
  • Driving efficiencies through legal tech, process optimisation, and innovation initiatives
  • Writing legal insights and articles for internal and external publication
  • Supporting tenders and business development initiatives
  • Mentoring trainees on research and knowledge application
Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • 5+ years PQE, ideally with experience in financial services disputes or investigations
  • Strong legal drafting and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • A proactive, client-focused mindset with the ability to work autonomously
  • Experience in knowledge management or a desire to transition from fee earning
  • Familiarity with legal tech and project delivery tools
  • A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for innovation
