• Help unload deliveries and stock.
• Support the Chefs.

Overview

Duffryn FFrwd Manor Nursing & Residential Care Home is a privately owned Care Home in Nantgarw, near Caerphilly, Pontypridd and just off the M4 corridor. We are looking to appoint a Bank Kitchen Porter (with a view to becoming permanent) in a busy kitchen. This job includes weekend work (on a rota basis). You must be able to drive (due to our location) and able to start at 7.00am.

Responsibilities

• Working as part of a team with a hands-on approach to carry out duties as follows:
• Helping with breakfasts (e.g. cooking eggs, making toast etc.).
• Helping out with the morning & afternoon tea trolley.
• Making sandwiches.
• Wash and peel vegetables etc.
• Washing pots and pans.
• Loading the dishwasher.
• Making sure the fridges and other machines are wiped down regularly.
• Making sure the kitchen is kept clean and tidy at all times.
• Unloading deliveries and helping to put away stock.
• Providing support to the Chefs.
