The job itself

We are seeking to appoint reliable trustworthy and conscientious people, who will take pride in working within our school and have unconditional positive regard for our children and staff.

Kitchen Assistant - You will collect the meals from Pocklington Junior School, prepare the dining room, serve the meals and clean the dining area and kitchen afterwards. The job also requires some lifting, moving of furniture and equipment. Experience of working within a school environment and a Basic Food Hygiene certificate would be advantageous but training will be given. Travelling between schools to collect meals will be required on a daily basis, so you must be able to transport yourself between the two sites. Business car insurance will be required.

Most importantly you will be team player, with a positive and engaging demeanor and a passion for doing a great job.

In this role you are required to speak English with sufficient fluency to effectively perform your duties, as required by Section 42 of the Immigration Act 2016.
