Key Stage 2 Supply Teacher

Location: Colchester, Essex Pay Rate: £150 - £170 per day Start Date: January 2026

Primary Please is currently recruiting Key Stage 2 teachers to cover daily absence in schools across Colchester.

We are seeing increased demand for strong, adaptable teachers capable of covering Years 3 through 6. Whether you are looking for 5 days a week or just a few days to supplement a part-time role, we have flexible work available in the Colchester area.

The Role
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons across the KS2 curriculum.
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Marking work at the end of the day according to school policy.
  • No planning, no assessments, and no staff meetings.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Confidence in teaching the Upper or Lower KS2 curriculum.
  • Strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to travel to schools within Colchester (access to a car is advantageous but not essential for town‑centre schools).
