Key Stage 1 Teacher - January Start

Location: Oswestry

Contract: Full-time, Long-term (with potential to become permanent)

Start Date: January 2026

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Oswestry. This full-time, long-term position begins in January and includes full classroom responsibilities, including planning, teaching, marking, and assessment.

The school has a warm and nurturing atmosphere where staff collaborate closely to create a positive learning environment. This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to progress within a supportive team.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative and effective lessons to KS1 pupils in line with the National Curriculum
  • Take full responsibility for planning, preparation, assessment and marking
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning and pupil progress
  • Work closely with colleagues to support teaching consistency across the school
  • Build strong and positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Previous experience teaching in Key Stage 1
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Passionate, caring and motivated approach to education
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
