Overview

Field Based Across Central England

A respected logistics business is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to take ownership of a varied portfolio across Central England. You will work with manufacturing and distribution clients, strengthen existing partnerships, uncover new opportunities, and support accounts that may not have growth potential but still rely on steady contact. The position suits someone who enjoys meeting customers in person and knows how to build trust over time. Around eighty five percent of your week will be spent on the road visiting clients.

The Role
  • Grow and develop a portfolio of established accounts within manufacturing, distribution and FMCG
  • Build strong relationships with senior contacts and gain a clear picture of their priorities and pain points
  • Keep regular contact with lower growth accounts and ensure they continue to receive a reliable service
  • Create practical account plans with the Customer Success Team to protect and increase revenue
  • Track activity, forecast performance, and manage a healthy sales pipeline
  • Lead customer review meetings and handle any issues with a calm, solution focused approach
  • Keep accurate CRM records and support Finance with invoicing queries and aged debt when needed
  • Contribute to wider business development activity when opportunities arise
About You
  • Strong background in logistics with a sound understanding of freight movements by road, air, sea and parcel or pallet network
